This year, Brooklyn Debate League - which primarily works with NYC public high schools to build debate programs - piloted a hybrid middle school program for 3 middle schools, introducing over 40 students to the thrill and joy of debate. It has been amazing to watch these young students tackle complex issues and find their voices! We have no doubt that these programs will expand not only the number of our high school debaters but the success rates of those debaters.

We are so excited about the prospects of expanding our programs to more middle schools for the 2026-2027 school year, and we need your help!

With every $5,000 we raise, we can launch an in-person program at a new middle school. With your support, we can develop the most talented and promising debaters in the BDL’s history.
