This is still kinda buggy but it should work well enough if you zoom out to ~80%.
Recommended classroom usage:
1) Choose ~3 student judges at the beginning if the class is large enough. There’s no easy way to display them on the screen right now, sorry. Fill out the teams if it’s a small crowd and you want to cycle through judges or something.
2) When the prompt appears, everyone reads it to themselves and discusses informally for a second, then you or a student leader leads the class in a dramatic group reading.
3) After the group reading, everyone practices in partner pairs for ~2 minutes. The judges can help coach or practice with each other for fun.
4) When practice time ends, randomly choose two students to deliver the prompt at the front of the room, reading off the teacher’s computer and facing the class. (You may have to play with the zoom to get a good teleprompter size). For 1-5 minutes, the teacher and the class give feedback to that student as they practice in front of the group, then switch to the student from the other team. The judges (or the teacher, or no one) decides who gave the better delivery.
Complaints and suggestions welcome, including what prompts I should use next.
